almost there
I am very happy someone has released a watercolor simulation app but I feel I must say this app is not suitable for complete novices who want a short-cut to making slick looking art. The app requires an artist with some skill and experience to get results similar to what is shown in the promo images.
The app will probably be more rewarding for people with more experience painting and digital painting if polished results are wanted. However - at the very modest price it is well worth buying as a toy by novice or non-painters though they will want some other more conventional app as well if they wish to develop their skills as an artist.
Yes - there is a problem with anti-aliasing which means you might end up rescaling your paintings to 50% in size using some other app to make them look smoother. Also, be aware that the user instructions are accessed via the "File" button.
My final comment is that although this is not the most easy app to paint with it is definitely worth the price and developers like this should be encourage to development this kind of ambitious natural media simulation for iPad.
